Why do some stay at home moms think their "mommy skills" are appropriate to put on a resume?
Seriously I work in human resources and we get so many of these stupid "mommy track" resumes. I've seen one where she considered being a stay at home mom equivalent to managing a start-up, are you kidding me? Too many resumes to count have "stay at home mom" listed in their employment history with duties like "chauffeur, chef, teacher, etc." News flash: just because you drive your kids doesn't mean you had chauffeur experience. Cooking dinner for your family is not professional chef experience. Usually such resumes are accompanies by requests for "flex time" or "part time" or "work from home" when the job description CLEARLY says FULL TIME. Do babies suck out your brain cells or what?
