When you feel injustice happened but you cannot do anything about it?
Not to completely defend this businessman, but if you two can't communicate effectively with each other, how can you expect a virtual stranger to to be able to do business with you? Although it's important for you both to understand and be part of the decision-making process, it's always most effective for only one of you to actually be the contact person in any business situation. If your husband is so stupid (your word, not mine) perhaps next time you should be the contact person. You might want to look up the definition of "deposit". It's money the other party gets to keep if you change your mind. By all rights he should've kept it all. In addition, had the guy stated he was going to give you money, you would no-doubt have insisted that he keep his word. Why should he really expect any different? Your husband negotiated this for both of you, so the guy has the right to take your husband at his word, even if your husband now regrets it.
