Was my dad over reacting?
My Dad forced me go outside ALONE to ''sweep'' the sidewalk on the outer side of our fence. Where cars are literally less than 1 foot away from you. In order to sweep all the dirt you have to face your behind to the road. (allowing everyone in a passing car to view my butt). Since it was REALLY hot outside I had to wear shorts, and a t-shirt. Completely allowing old perverts to completely stare at my butt. There were also 2 passing cars that yelled out something to me (I couldn't hear them well). Immediately after the 2 passing cars yelled out at me, I ran inside and told my Dad that I felt uncomfortable being out there!! He continued to force me to go outside claiming that I ''never listen to him'' he forced me so much almost to the point of tears, he swore and yelled at me in front of the whole neighberhood while I was just sitting there taking it. On his side of the story, it was all because I didn't ''listen'' to him. I told him I would do anything else but all he did was continue to yell. In your point of view, was this completely inappropriate and injustice? Or is this simply ''normal'' for a parent to do. BTW - I am 13 years old.
