How to avoid acting stupid after oral surgery?

I'm 17 and I'm having my wisdom teeth removed soon, but I'm really nervous because I've never been under general anesthesia before and I have kind of a sensitive ego when it comes to doing stupid things. Is there any way I can avoid embarrassing myself post-op? Also, I'm a little concerned that I might divulge information to my parents that I would otherwise prefer they not know. Should I be worried about that? Thanks!
