How many kilometres is it across Europe?

I'm wondering how long in kilometres it is from one side of Europe to the next. Also, how tall is it? I want to compare it in width and height to Canada. Like what is the equivalent of driving from Vancouver to Saskatoon between two European towns. Just give me the height and length and I can work it out from there. If you give me some Canadian major towns and their distances and the European equivalents of these distances, I'll probably pick you as best answer. Enrich me here, lol.
